  11. I am looking for a high quality Voice/Data/Fax modem with above average
  12. features.  I would like to wait for the SupraSonic 288V+, but the Hayes
  13. Optima 288 Business Modem (see www.hayes.com) looks very interesting.

  15. Can anyone give me pros/cons/experience about this modem, in either its
  16. internal version or external PC w/ ESP card.  Do you really get much use
  17. of the 230K communication speed to the Modem, if the other modem you are
  18. talking to isn't also a Hayes (since it probably won't be able to 
  19. decompress fast enough, introducing a bottleneck at the other end)?
